I'm a regular Korean mom, happily juggling life while raising my two energetic elementary school kiddos!

I’ve had quite the journey! I was a Chinese language instructor and a simultaneous interpreter for Korean and Chinese. After I had my kids, I took a six-year break from my career. But three years ago, I decided to jump back into work and joined a global beauty marketing company. It’s been amazing! I’ve met and made friends with many foreign influencers and content creators living in Korea.

I spent ten fantastic years in China for my studies and work, which was quite an adventure! Being a foreigner in a new place definitely had its challenges, but it also brought so many rewarding experiences. When I eventually came back to Korea, I was surprised to see how much things had changed—it felt a bit different, like I was discovering my home all over again. It took some time to readjust and find my footing, but connecting with others who had gone through similar journeys really made a difference. We supported each other, shared stories, and it helped me feel more at home during the transition.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since I returned to Korea, 😂but I’m finally feeling more settled in. I’ve been wanting to connect with others who are also finding their way in a new environment.

Welcome to The Pylon Club, my wonderful 이웃님! (neighbors)! I’m excited to share tips and insights about life here with all of you. Let’s support each other in this journey! Korea and become great neighbors to each other. Since I’m a mom raising kids, feel free to DM me if you have any questions about parenting, education, hospital visits, kindergartens, or elementary schools in Korea!
