Actress Demi Moore has won her first Golden Globe Best Actress award in 45 years since her debut.
This year, she was loved for the movie Substance. The movie tells a story about "appearance obsession" and "self-hatred." Demi Moore played Elizabeth, a former star actress and aerobics show host who struggles with appearance obsession.
Her acceptance speech deeply touched me. She started by saying that 30 years ago, someone called her a "popcorn actress," and at that time, she believed that was all she was.
But she said we can all think out of the box and move toward something bigger.
When we don't think we're smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough or basically just not enough,
I had a woman say to me. Just Know, you will never be enough but you can know the value of your worth if you can just put down the measuring stick
